This preview will be distributed to more than 100,000 members from AAPG, EAGE, SEG and SPE, and will be posted on their respective websites. The Conference Preview is the prime marketing tool of IPTC and will contain the conference programme, list of papers/events, exhibitors’ lists, general information, registration form, hotel booking form, etc. Each co-sponsor will receive will receive:

Conference Luncheons

Each day buffet luncheon will be provided at the Dubai World Trade Centre to all full conference registrants. These luncheons will provide attendees with the opportunity for networking and offer the sponsor an avenue to demonstrate hospitality to conference delegates. The sponsor of each luncheon will receive:

• Company’s name and logo prominently displayed on acknowledgement cards on all the buffet tables.
• Company information (if desired) to be available at the entrance to the luncheon area.

Directional Signage

Clear directions will be in place to direct conference delegates entering the Dubai World Trade Centre to the conference and exhibition halls, and other key function areas (with the exceptions mentioned in the specific events, e.g. daily luncheon, etc.).

The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is hosting an International Education Week alongside the conference, for the benefit of the best, final-year undergraduate, geoscience and engineering students from qualified institutions worldwide. It is anticipated that some 60-75 students will be selected to attend Education Week at IPTC.

The purpose of Education Week is to give the students a clear insight into the industry that they are about to join; to enable them to return to their universities and colleges with a positive story to relate to their fellow students; and to provide opportunities for students to form new friendships and to work together on a joint activity. Students will benefit from mentoring by Young Professionals and they will interact with representatives from the sponsoring companies.

The tentative programme is as follows:

• Evening Icebreaker Reception & Dinner, 2 December 2007: non-technical discussions and team building activities organised by Young Professionals.
• Education Day, 3 December 2007: form mixed groups of five for a combination of activities with E&P sponsoring companies and Young Professionals.
