Transportation
By Air
Malaysia is one of South East Asia’s fastest growing air-hubs. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is the main airport located an hour’s drive from the city centre. From here you are able to fly internationally on over 40 airlines or fly domestically to most of the major cities and towns in Peninsular Malaysia as well as Malaysian Borneo.
The Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) located 15 minutes by shuttle bus from KLIA is serviced by low cost airline carriers which fly both regionally and domestically.
From the Airport by Rail
The Express Rail Link (ERL) is the fastest way of reaching the city centre from the airport. Taking 28 minutes to the city centre, you will arrive at Kuala Lumpur City Air Terminal (KLCAT) located at Stesen Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral Train Station).
From the Airport by Taxi and Limo
Taxi and Limousine services are available from the airport to the city centre. Please enquire at the taxi counters located after the Customs Clearance and Baggage reclaim area. Fares are charged according to zones.
Taxis in the City
Taxis are plentiful in Kuala Lumpur. Insist on the taxi driver using the meter at all times. If this is not implemented, hail another taxi.
