VISA ON ARRIVAL![]()
Everyone apart from the citizens of the GCC states needs a visa to enter Qatar. For short stays, the nationals of 33 countries can be issued with a 2-week visa on arrival at Doha Airport, on payment of QR 100 (Payable by Credit Card). Please find a list of these countries below.
Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong SAR, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA and Vatican City.

Citizens of countries not listed above must obtain a visit visa in advance through their hotel in Doha.
Upon receipt of the visa requirements documents from your hotel, please complete the same and forward to the hotel for processing: visa application form, scanned colored copy of the passport, credit card authorization form, and scanned copy of both sides of your credit card.
Please ensure that the hotel receives all the required documents sufficiently in advance to avoid delays. Please allow 14 - 21 working days (Sunday-Thursday) after the submission of all the required documents for visa processing.
Please note: Hotels will not apply for visas without any room booking.
The visa rates applicable will depend on the nationality of the applicant and depend on the normal or urgent processing time. The visa rates will be communicated and confirmed by the hotel along with the room confirmation. The visa fees are charged prior to processing and are non-refundable.
Please also check with your travel agent or the Qatar Embassy in your country on regulations relating to immigration/visa before your departure.
PASSPORTS
All travellers to Qatar must be in possession of passports valid for at least six months on arrival, delegates must hold a visa issued by the local Qatar officials prior to departure from their home countries. An official Invitation Letter to apply for a Qatar visa for this event is available from Qatar Petroleum, through the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Upon receipt of the Qatar Visa Invitation Letter from Qatar Petroleum, you can bring the invitation together with your passport and a completed official visa application form to the Qatar Embassy/Consulate, to apply for the visa.
