Education Week
Sunday - Thursday, 5-9 February 2012
As part of the 2011 International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), an Education Week is to be organised for the benefit of the best, final-year undergraduate geoscience and engineering students from qualified institutions worldwide. 100 students from 32 countries and 64 institutions have been selected to attend Education Week at IPTC.
The purpose of Education Week is to give the students a clear insight into the industry that they are about to join; to allow them to return to their universities and colleges with a positive story to relate to their fellow students and to provide opportunities for students to form new friendships and to work together on a joint activity.
Participating students will be assigned to work on a project group, to share their ideas and best practices, to address issues and brainstorm solutions. Students will be required to make a presentation on their group report on Thursday morning, 9 February 2012. Topics assignments include:
- Marginal Fields Development
