The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is organised to further the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge related to the exploration, development, production, transportation and processing of oil and natural gas, and rotates between Doha, Qatar and the Asia Pacific region.

IPTC focuses on the distribution of new and current technology, best practices and activities designed to emphasise the importance of the “value chain” and maximise asset value.
The 7th edition of IPTC will be held 20–22 January 2014 in Doha, Qatar and the 8th edition of IPTC will be held from 10–12 December 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Each year, IPTC recognises a company or companies for integration of multiple discipline and execution for major industry projects, from discovery to delivery.
