Press Guidelines

Press Registration

Members of the working press receive complimentary registration to the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC).

Please carefully read the below criteria before applying for press registration:

  • Complimentary press registration is available only to members of the working press (examples: reporter, freelance writer, editor, publisher, etc.).
  • Titles that will not be eligible include PR or marketing representative, advertising sales, president, etc.
  • Journalists must be employed by a news organisation that covers the oil and gas industry.
  • To ensure a secure conference, photo identification is required.

 

Press Access to Special Events and Luncheons

  • Press are allowed to cover any ticketed event without a ticket, but are not offered a mean. We attempt to provide chairs for the press, but some events may be sold out and offer standing room only for press on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • IPTC will not provide press with complimentary tickets to any of the special events; however, press may purchase tickets to the special events.

Guidelines for Photography/Audio and Visual Recording

No audio recording, video recording, or photography is allowed without IPTC?s permission. All journalists seeking to do any of these things must register as press and check in at the IPTC press room. They will be asked to sign a form agreeing to follow IPTC?s policies on photography and audio and video recording.

Future Dates

IPTC in Beijing has been rescheduled to 26-28 March 2013 at the Beijing International Convention Center in Beijing, China, and IPTC in Doha has been rescheduled to 20-22 January 2014.
