Thursday, 20 February
Conference Hall 3, Level 3
Panel
Brownfield, in definition, refers to oil or gas accumulations that have matured to a production plateau or progressed to a stage of declining production. Looking ahead to expectations for the offshore industry in 2024, Westwood forecasts the global offshore O&G-related EPC contract award value to total approximately $68 billion, driven by 89 greenfield and brownfield project FIDs over the next 12 months. This represents a 74% increase in the EPC award value recorded in 2023.
This session will discuss:
- New technologies centering around the extension of field life, reservoir monitoring techniques, and production enhancement techniques for brownfields.
- Best practices for cost-effective reservoir monitoring options and decommissioning wells for field abandonment in a safe, sustainable, and environmentally friendly manner.
- Ongoing efforts surrounding flow assurance monitoring, operational standards and management, as well as their mitigation procedures.
