Uni_Prog

Final-year undergraduate students in science, geoscience, and engineering from around the world are invited to participate in a bespoke programme at IPTC.

This programme aims to provide university students with a clear insight into the industry they are about to join. It also enables them to return to their universities and colleges with a positive story to share with their peers and offers opportunities to interact with several major industry employers looking to recruit the best talent from institutions around the world.

Students selected for this programme will have their airfare and accommodation sponsored by IPTC to attend the event. 

Criteria

  • Be enrolled in full-time, undergraduate studies, either in their fourth or final year as of 3 September 2026.
  • Have excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Obtain permission from their programme department to be away from their studies from 24 - 26 April 2027 plus travel days.
  • Be able to demonstrate in evidence that they are in the top 40% of their class.
  • Commit in writing to their institution and IPTC, that they will attend the IPTC 2027 Energy Education University Programme as scheduled. 
  • Follow the Energy Education University Programme Terms & Conditions.

Application Process

  • University faculty nominates student(s) online (students must be nominated by a faculty member)
  • Nominated student receives an email asking them to complete the online application
  • Student applications must be reviewed/endorsed by a faculty member through the online application system
  • Applications must be completed by 31 August 2026

ENERGY EDUCATION UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME TERMS & CONDITIONS

Participants consent to allow IPTC to store and process the information submitted and to provide participants with information about this programme in accordance with IPTC Privacy Policy; accept the IPTC Energy Education University Programme Terms & Conditions; and agree to be bound by participants. Participants can unsubscribe at any time by sending the request to apac_dev_activities@iptcnet.org.

 

1,    Code of Conduct
a.   Participants will adhere to the programme schedule provided and attend all activities and meetings.
b.   Participants will be punctual in attending all scheduled activities and meetings.
c.   Participants must adhere to the dress code, which requires business attire during all conference and programme activities.
d.   Participants will adhere to the directions and advice of IPTC staff and group leaders.
e.   Participants will be under the observance of IPTC staff and potential employers and will always conduct themselves professionally.
f.   Participants must respect and abide by the laws set out by the government of Thailand.
g.   If a participant is in breach of this code, IPTC reserves the right to forfeit the participant’s participation before the end of the programme.
     
2.   Travel Arrangements
a.   Participants will be responsible for all their meals and expenses during their stay in Bangkok, Thailand. A cash allowance will be provided to participants onsite on Tuesday, 23 March 2027.
b.   Participants will be charged by the hotel directly to their personal account for any consumption of hotel mini bar items, laundry or any orders made through room
service.
c.   Participants’ travel dates and housing will be arranged at the discretion of IPTC.
     
3.   Cancellation Policy
a.   No cancellation is allowed after 7 December 2026.
b.   Cancellation must be notified in writing to IPTC. Email your cancellation request to  apac_dev_activities@iptcnet.org.
     
4.   Health and Safety
a.   Participants who have chosen to participate in this progamme understand that IPTC will implement, and participants agree to abide by all, preventative measures to minimise the spread of any communicable diseases if required by law. Notwithstanding IPTC’s measures and participants’ compliance, participants acknowledge that IPTC cannot guarantee that participants will not contract any communicable diseases. In exchange for allowing participants to participate at this programme, participants agree to release IPTC, its employees, directors, officers and agents, from any claim for damages arising from or relating to any communicable diseases resulting from the participation at this programme.
b.   Participants agree to adhere to policy and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all participants. These policies may include, but are not limited to, wearing a mask while on property, maintaining social distancing, and refraining from physical contact with other participants on-site. All rules and guidelines will be according to the local government’s regulations in which the event takes place and the event venue facility.
c.   Participants who do not comply with the rules and guidelines will not be permitted to enter or remain in the event venue.
     
5.   Privacy Policy
a.   IPTC cares about the protection of participants’ personal information. IPTC complies with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, in collecting and processing participants’ data. IPTC’s Privacy Policy describes the information practices regarding how IPTC collects, uses, discloses, or transfers the Personal Information that participants share with IPTC or that IPTC collect about participants when participants attend one of IPTC events, visit IPTC websites, or use the event mobile applications. All participants maintain the right of erasure and can withdraw their consent at any time. Please see IPTC Privacy Policy for additional information.

6.   Disclaimer
a.   IPTC reserves the right to change the date(s), venue and/or to cancel the programme should circumstance beyond its control arises.
b.   IPTC will not be liable to participants for any damages, costs, losses or expenses of any kind incurred or suffered by participants as a result of or in relation to IPTC
modifying, postponing or cancelling the programme or any part of the programme.
c.   IPTC reserves the right to qualify and set admission policies for all participants to ensure legitimate business and to ensure the safety of the event.
