About the Workshop

As the oil and gas industry stands on the brink of a significant workforce transition, with nearly half of its employees poised for retirement in the next 5 to 7 years, the imperative for leadership development has never been more pronounced. To address this challenge and equip individuals at all leadership levels with the skills to mentor and lead effectively, we present the workshop, "Building Bridges: It Starts with You."

This transformative program is designed to help participants identify and amplify their unique leadership styles while enhancing their mentorship capabilities. Through engaging activities and guided discussions, attendees will gain profound insights into their leadership strengths and areas for growth, fostering personal and professional development.

Our experienced facilitators will provide expert guidance, encouraging participants to explore their leadership personas through interactive exercises and self-reflection. Participants will not only discover their own leadership essence but also learn how to leverage it to inspire and guide others.

The workshop will immerse participants in a comprehensive exploration of critical themes, particularly the industry's impending transformation, known as The Great Crew Change. This aspect underscores the leadership development needed to address the age gap and navigate the challenges associated with the retirement of older, experienced employees. Furthermore, our program will shed light on Breaking the Glass Ceiling, acknowledging the significant shifts in employee experience, especially in technical roles. Additionally, we will facilitate a dedicated session, Breaking Barriers and Overcoming Gender Bias, where you can discover how the energy sector is actively striving to combat gender bias and promote a more inclusive environment.

Panel 2

Breaking the Glass Ceiling

In this rapidly evolving energy landscape, the significance of diversity and inclusion is emphasized by the importance of breaking through the glass ceiling. This metaphorical barrier has long hindered the ascent of women and underrepresented groups into leadership roles, impeding the industry's full potential. As industry tackles challenges such as climate change, attracting and retaining talent, it becomes evident that true progress necessitates dismantling these barriers. This panel discusses the challenges behind the glass ceiling, and ways to break it, through the eyes of industry leaders.

Amidst this backdrop, where diversity and inclusion assume pivotal roles in contemporary work culture, there emerges an additional vital component: Equity. Recognizing that industry challenges demand multifaceted solutions, equity must stand alongside diversity and inclusion, encompassing equitable opportunity for all.

Industry leaders are increasingly recognizing the need for equitable representation and are adopting innovative measures to create more inclusive workplaces. The objective of this panel session is to foster a collaborative atmosphere, uniting industry experts with diverse backgrounds to share best practices for achieving equity and enhancing work-life balance integration for energy professionals. Through their insightful experiences, and personal journeys, our aim is to empower upcoming leaders and secure equity and inclusivity across the sector.

Mark your calendars and be ready to be inspired and empowered. Hear from the industry leading panelists and unlock valuable insights, and actively engage in discussions. Your presence is not just a seat at the table, it’s a chance to shape the narrative, contribute to progress, and be a part of a collaborative environment.
