- Obtain the necessary clearance for the proposed paper from your management, your partners, and customers BEFORE submission.
- Submit your paper proposal online . All submissions must be received electronically before the Final Submission Deadline 3 May 2024.
- Paper proposals should be written in English and should provide clear and concise statements on the contents of the paper. It should include brief findings, solutions, impacts, and concluding remarks on the work.
- Each author may submit a maximum of three paper proposals per conference.
- All abstracts must be a minimum of 225 words with a 450-word maximum as determined by the programme committee and specified on the online submission form.
- Abstracts suggesting commercialism in any form will be rejected.
- Abstracts should be submitted based on any of the topics listed under the technical categories.
- The proposed paper or ePoster must contribute to petroleum technology or be of immediate interest to the oil and gas industry and should contain significant new knowledge or experience in the oil, gas, and energy industry. Data in the paper proposal must be technically correct.
- The substance of the proposed paper must not have been published previously in trade journals or in other professional or technical journals.
- The abstract should stand on its own and not refer to another work unless associated with the current work.
- Authors should indicate their presentation preference: Technical presentation or Knowledge sharing ePoster presentation. The programme committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method.
- Early submission is particularly important to ensure that the committee members have ample time to review the paper proposals. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered. No exceptions will be made. The Final Submission Deadline is 3 May 2024.
- Use the most current version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
- Confirm the machine or device being used is connected to a strong network without an active firewall or pop-up blocker.
- Make sure the third-party cookies are not disabled.
- Author notifications will be sent to each Presenting Author regarding the status of their submission by early July. Authors whose paper proposals are accepted will be required to provide a manuscript or an extended abstract for publishing in the multi-society library OnePetro.
- Failure to full fill the publication requirements will result in removing your presentation from the conference programme and will not be allowed to present.

ABSTRACT CONTENT
A proper review of your abstract requires that it contain adequate information on which to make a judgement. Written in English and containing a maximum of 450 words, abstracts should be summarised into four (4) specific paragraphs:
- OBJECTIVE/SCOPE
Please list the objective and/or scope of the proposed paper. (25-75 words)
- METHODS, PROCEDURES, PROCESS
Briefly explain your overall approach, including your methods, procedures and process. (75-100 words)
- RESULTS, OBSERVATIONS, CONCLUSIONS
Please describe the results, observations and conclusions of the proposed paper. (100-200 words)
- NOVEL/ADDITIVE INFORMATION
Please explain how this paper will present novel (new) or additive information to the existing body of literature that can be of benefit to and/or add to the state of knowledge in the petroleum industry. (25-75 words)
Do not include title or author names in the body of the abstract. Title and author information will be requested separately through the submission system.
TECHNICAL CATEGORIES
Please refer to the list of technical categories to indicate the category that best describes your abstract. A primary choice is required; however, a secondary choice is optional.
Abstracts are evaluated on the basis of the information supplied on the abstract form in accordance with the following criteria:
- The proposed paper or ePoster must contribute to petroleum technology or be of immediate interest to the oil and gas industry, and should contain significant new knowledge or experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Data in the abstract must be technically correct.
- The proposed paper or ePoster may present information about equipment and tools to be used in exploration and production. Such abstracts must show the definite applications and limitations of such equipment and should avoid undue commercialism and extensive use of trade names.
- The substance of the proposed paper or ePoster must not have been published previously in trade journals or in other professional or technical journals.
- Prior to abstract submission, clearance must be obtained. Any problems concerning clearance should be outlined when the abstract is submitted.
